Q1. How come Carlo Gallucci got a Spanish passport, came to live in Catalonia... and since when exactly?

Q1. How come Carlo Gallucci got a Spanish passport, came to live in Catalonia... and since when exactly?
He was involved in local politics, reached a representative role, so it was convenient to get the right to vote... He is living here since 1990 (1:05--->)

Q2. What do we learn about him and his nowadays wife?
His wife is a Catalan, He met her in the UK,.... he went for fun, she want to improve her language (2:05--->)

Q3. Multilingual couples have a language story behind them... What did you gather from Calluci's story?
They mixed languages at home, they met speaking English, good for her, just so-so for him.... Later they spoke each other's home languages, meaning Italian him, Catalan and Spanish her, now they speak Italian at home! (2:45--->)

Q4. How long did he need to make his mind up to leave his home in Italy? Any surprise? What was the process like?
Calluci is originally from Calabria, south Italy, he went to England aged 22, met her and going after her... commuted for 2 years!, and set for a MAB studies in Barcelona. (3:55--->)

Q5. What is the "funny side" (in his words) at his business studies?
He went to Barcelona and Harvard... but he didn't like to study! Gallucci’s family was from a well-off family, the only son; supposed to take the lead, not his two younger sisters, running a business of agriculture machine (4:25--->)

Q6. How were his parents related to learning?
They were very open-minded and his father told him to forget material things and to mange to increase his capabilities, culture and preparation. (5:10--->)

Q7. What did he end studying in Italy? How was mum of some importance?
He studied economics, after a deal with her. She accepted him finish a degree before starting working somewhere else, not family farm. (5:45--->) 

Q8. Why did he come to study in ESADE? Was it a succesful step in his career?
Because his girlfriend was from Barcelona and he wanted to stay close to her ... .found a job in a multinational firm in Madrid, Agriculture machinery. (6:10--->)

Q9. What headways did he make at his first job? Was it a successful step in his career? At 28 what was his post?
It was a good project, relaungh company in Spain; became Vicedirector general to set-up the services first, then asked to be sent back to HQ (Headquaters) to be General Marketing manager, back in Italy at 28!. (6:45--->)

Q10. Why did he not keep on the Italian Headquaters? Wise decision? What did he take up?
He didn't accept the lucrative offer, everybody advised him "take it!" But he thought otherwise. He accepted a marketing future in a Chemical company relatd to ESADE and started teaching there as well ( 7:05--->)

Q11 Why and Where did he do his Ph. D. (Top Univ. degree)?
He did his Ph D in Madrid, as it was a need in the teaching post; in the University Pontificia Comillas that belongs to the Jesuits (8:15 --->)

Q12. When did he go to Harvard University? How was her wife connected in this adventure?
It was in 1994... kind of Sabbatical year there; as his wife, a well-know dentist was given a job in a multinational from the United States and developed some research in America too. And he decided to go with her in order to make some studies related with economics (8:40-- ->)

Q13. How old are his children? did they go to America?

They had a boy aged 3, now have two sons - 29 & 25; his daughter is merely 13 (9:45--->)

Q14. What stands out as differences between the education in America, Italy and Spain?
The main difference is the source. In Italy most of the education is a public one. However, in Spain there is a good education, both in the public and in the private sector. Italy is more theoretical in the field of Medicine. (10:40--->)
